Originally from Pennsylvania, Dino Capone has been playing drums for over 20 years. As a student, he has taken hundreds of traditional and non-traditional lessons from professional teachers with backgrounds that include touring national acts, US Navy Band, Berkeley School of Music, and Percussion Institute of Technology. As a professional musician, he himself has toured most of the East Coast and Southeast regions of the US. After moving to the Grand Strand in 1995, Dino Capone has worked as a professional musician playing in house bands for the House of Blues, Dicks Last Resort, the Garden City Pier, and Corral Beach Resort as well as playing with several bands of various styles in most of the area's venues from Georgetown, SC to Wilmington, NC. As a teacher, he has drawn from his experience as a student and a professional musician to develop a method of teaching that anyone can understand and is most importantly for both the student and the teacher, a lot of fun. Before opening Dino Capone’s School of Rock, he found much success with his teaching methods providing instruction to over 35 beginning through advanced students per week from his home.

Why do students that take lessons from Dino Capone enjoy it so much? Just ask one of them! Aside from being the owner/operator of Dino Capone’s School of Rock, Dino Capone is still a very active professional musician, averaging four live performances a week with various bands on the Grand Strand.
